She has great "camo" for getting on the couch at least!!

OMG I can't even explain how much I love this little girl!!!! She bounces out of her bed every morning with kisses for me and then runs and runs and runs in the yard with wild abandon. Today I took her for a long training walk and then after groceries I took her to our flood "management" area and let her play in the water. She was excited about the ducks and the water and the wind. She ran and ran and ran as much as she could on her harness and flexi-leash. I swear she just ran up to me in the yard and said "Thanks ma!".

What a wonderful, wonderful dog. <3

She sounds like so much fun! Glad Stella has you as her Dober mom.  You and her are a perfect match!

So frantically getting organized to leave on a work trip to South Korea and I'm totally going to miss Stella SO much!! Anyone have any tips for Dan - she's still skittish around him. And of course some fun pics of her. I found her sleeping in the pug bed and almost peed my pants laughing.

That's the way I found Chaos the other day in Daisy's bed.  It's about the same size as the pug bed.  He was very content.

Omg, that is too cute! These Dobes can curl themselves into the smallest places. (Who's Daisy? Have I missed a lot?)

Daisy is the 48 pound, 9 year old, with a whole lot of attitude.  Cute as a bugs ear.  Owner ordered to get rid of her because of a pending abuse charge on another dog.  She's a little bissy body.  Has to know where I'm at all the time.  ocket size Dobe.

I prefer 'apartment sized'. I'm going to go get two more beds today so she has one in each room. The pug rarely uses the bed as he prefers to sleep on his humans or in fact anywere flat.

Katie and Stella both act like Peanut.  And look at Peanut now.  A real Dobermann Lovemutt.  There is always hope when there is love.  The whole world revolves around love.

I should have called her Joy or Happiness. When I walked through that door after being away 2 weeks she literally jumped up and down. She flipped and ran and didn't know what to do with herself. I've never had a reception quite like that. I love her SO much.

Well I got back from Korea, spent two weeks in a jet lag fog and somehow the rest of the summer got away from me. However - Stella-bella is now running 4mi with me almost every day and has made HUGE gains with her heeling on walks. She has had lots of playdates and loves everyone except Legend (1yr old male Dobie) who she is terrified of.

Trish took the wild sister Katie home to work her in obedience in her dog club.  It is much needed.  She loves the world and just doesn't know what to do in it.

We had a tough week this week. Stella escaped the yard on Sunday and was loose for about 35 minutes until I caught her 'greased-pig' style and got a black eye for my efforts as she flipped her head up trying to get away. We also had my brother's dog stay for the weekend and forgot all our housetraining. Tonight, however, she has done all her business outside and has been very sweet with me. I learned how to make a gate (with my birthday circular saw) and Stella being sweet:

I always speak of those times as high blood pressure episodes.  Stoke level.  And why do they have to do it.  They are loved in their yards.  They are fed in their homes.  They are warm in their beds.  And yet they go nuts in the wild and forget how great it is at home.

OMG I was so terrified. Not a word of a lie I pulled a 'Hansel and Gretel' moment and lured her with bread pieces.... then grabbed her from behind and carried her into the house. We didn't talk for several hours...
