These two girls sure have waited awhile for a home. They came to Arda in Feb. We could have adopted one or the other several times, but we really wanted to keep them together, they are so bonded. Michael & Valerie saw them online and really wanted them both. So they made the drive up from Ohio to meet the girls. The girls were great with them, as they love people, but they weren't too sure about Cody, their little terrier. So they took the girls and a couple of crates and are going to see if they can get everybody to get along. We wish them the best of luck and we hope the girls will behave themselves and find their forever home. Thank you for choosing rescue!

The BEST news is that these wonderful girls love our 3 boys. Our little redhead goes along with Daddy & the girls for about a mile & a half every morning that he is up in time- which makes him much easier to homeschool after all that exercise :-). But these high energy girls are a perfect match for our high energy boys. Cody & Mya still need a little time, but Bella is happy to take a walk with him as long as he minds his manners. Cody has been the tiny top dog long enough, and must concede his throne. 4 days in & we are very pleased with how these girls have adjusted to our family. And they LOVE walks in the country where they get to see deer & even a fox on evening walks- and my arms are getting a workout! Thanks for all the encouragement!

I am so glad the girls are behaving themselves. It's great that they love the kids. Thanks so much for letting us know how it's going. Keep being calm, firm, and consistent with the interactions between Cody & the girls and hopefully they will learn their places in the pack.

I'm thrilled that the girls are together, in a home, and with kids to love on! What a happy new beginning.

Great pictures right off the bat, you must have known it is coming up on SCD calendar time!!! Glad to hear the kids love the girls and I'm sure they love having some kids to play around with. Mya & Bella sure are loving country life. We have had one big challenge here - Cody was let out of lock up by one of the kids while I had the girls on leash as we came back into the house. He rushed the group at the door and was put in his place by Mya, who used her jaws to pin him down. The girls backed off & Cody ran off to hide while I returned them to their crates. Cody's trip to the vet revealed one scratch & one small puncture into the muscle on his back hip. They cleaned it out & he is healing up nicely. We are hoping that is the one & only warning he needs to realize he is no longer king of the castle. As I remarked to friends, Cody has failed in his quest for world domination. We still have frequent visits to the girls in their crates and they all exchange licks to the nose. We are still very hopeful that they will one day get along. We had our first visit with a trainer last week. She was very encouraged with how the girls respond to guests in our home and our 3 boys. They are now very comfortable being loose in the yard with the invisible fence. Bella broke through only once at top speed when there were deer just out of her range & didn't know what to do once she was out. So she ran to the top of the driveway & broke back into her "safe zone", What a great (and fast) girl she is. Bella has also recently discovered the joy of chewing sticks. Something she & Cody have in common. Good thing we have woods on 3 sides of our yard- to keep her in fresh supply. Love your pictures an thank you so much for the update.

I have been wondering how everything was going, praying
and hoping things were working out with Cody. Praying in
time they will all get along as I know you are too.

Mya and Bella are so very lucky to have a home like
yours and you are all lucky to have found these girls.
They are together forever, they have children to play
with and bond with.....what a family.......can't get any
better then that.
