Kelley now Diesel went to start his New Begining on March 18th with the Rable's. Here is an update on him.

Well Diesel has been the best dog and he is learning come and sit. He and Rocco have become greaqt buds and even snuggle at nap times. They love to chase each other. We have so many people trying to guess the many breeds that have gone into to Diesel....boxer, beagle, ridgeback. I do have a question about balding patches that are appearing on his head. Have any of the other pups had this problem? We are wondering if he is just allergic to something. He is also having many loose stools. The vet is coming tomorrow but just wondered if any of the other siblings had similar problems. The cough was thought to be a worm problem that affected his lungs. Cindy

Well the bald patches are just this reaction that a lot of puppies get to mites called Dermodex. He gave him another deworming treatment and an antibiotic for his loose stools. There were no identifiable parasites but he wanted to be sure there isn?t another problem. He now weighs 22#. That is a 7.5# increase from when we got him. He is getting so tall. So I guess there is no real issues just usual puppy stuff. I will post new pics as soon as we can. Cindy

Congratulations to you guys and Diesel! :) As you can see in our signature we have adopted his sister (Lexi, formerly SJ) this weekend as well. Amungst other problems I have noticed some baldness on one of her back legs but I'm not too concerned with it as our last dog had a lot of baldness on his hind legs when we first got him. Give it a little time after they get a good diet going and grow some see if it clears up. We have had great success with the Purina Pro Plan for puppies. The dogs seem to really like the taste too.

Well good luck with Diesel and keep the forum updated! It's wonderful to see all the pictures of all the dogs growing up with their proud owners! :D

Rusty is getting so big. He is such a beauty. Looks so very healthy. mary

Dogs don't know about beginnings, and they don't speculate on matters that occurred before their time.
Dogs also don't know-or at least don't accept-the concept of death.
With no concept of beginnings or endings, dogs probably don't know that for people, having a dog as a life companion provides a streak of light between two eternities of darkness

Thanks for the updates on Diesel's relatives they are all so cute. He is looking better already and the vet started him on some antibiotics and his tummy is getting better. He is becoming much more assertive lately and needing alot of redirection. I think we have reached early rebellion years. We are needing some obedience training.
