Wow. That poor guy is going to need a lot of rehabilitation to rebuild the muscle tissue after the FHO. He's been unlucky in life but his luck has turned around. He's with people who will put in that effort for him. Good luck and high hopes for the surgery.

The face on that guy - goes right to your heart. Arda you will be doing the best you can and everyone knows that. It can't be a easy choice - I also will be praying for him and you.

FLASH: UPDATE on the Biscuit eater
The Femoral head removal was last Friday. I just returned from the clinic with him. Hey, he's not jumping creeks BUT I parked by the bridge and he leaped out without me helping. Scared me to death. Then he walked on all 4 legs to the house and in to his pen. I can't believe he did this. I am amazed. Simply amazed. There is so little muscle in that leg I just can't believe it. Now he is under bed rest for 2 weeks. Small on leash walks to go potty and to keep him from getting stiff. I just can't believe what I am seeing. I have to tell you that the girls that have been taking care of him have done a marvelous job on the temperament. Of course add to his problems.....he also has a very light case of mange. We're working on that. Joaquin and Sarah were here Sunday and they got a Dane crate into the exercise room for him. This way if he had trouble getting up, I could go in and help him up. But right now he doesn't need me.
I have been so sick with worry that I might be making a mistake on pouring all this money and time into him but at this point, we are right on.
As soon as someone is here we will have pictures of the leg and him. He looks like a zipper. I just can't believe it.

Thanks for update, great news !!! I had a feeling he would be feeling better after surgery and moving around better, and he is, what a brave guy and you too, for giving him a chance, things will only get better from here with all your TLC. Hope to hear more good news as time goes on, pictures too.

That is wonderful news on Biscuit. Wow using all four legs how great is that. Hopefully he keeps up the recovery with even better days ahead of him.
My prayers are with Biscuit and all who take care of him. When Eric had the ACL surgery he wasn't aloud to put that leg down or weight on it for three weeks. They said tippy toes only,
could touch the ground. Hopefully his next surgery goes as great as this one did.
