Got a bunch of tears and sadness to share.

These gentlemen are long time adopters and supporters of SCD.

We lost Wayne Crosato on December 24th,2017. Leaving behind his wife Kathy and the dobergirls Stella and Maggie.

Patrick Maughan in January 1st, 2018. Leaving Mary Ellen and their dog Clover. We best remember Patrick for his monthly supplies of blankets and dog food.

This makes me realize my age. I will miss them dearly.

May they rest in peace.

I did not have the pleasure of having met either of those two gentlemen, but anybody who loved Dobermans and supported Dobe rescue is a friend of mine.  I am sorry to hear of the passing of both of them.  My heart goes out to their families. :Rose: :Rose:

Currently part of my treasured family and helping to make life fun and busy:

Hunter, the chocolate Labradeagle (or Beaglador)

Terra, the tall, gorgeous red Doberwoman

Waiting at the Bridge and forever in my heart...... Igor, Max, Savanna, Logan, and Tasha

In August I received a gift from an old friend, with this gift I purchased on bra to replace the many shredded by Bedlam and a sharp vacuum. The vacuum lasted till Christmas.

Front tire on the John Deere went flat. Can you believe it Kari, Celeste or myself could not get the hub nut off. It sat there for over a month till the fairier Brian came out. Took him less than a minute to get it off. When it stops snowing I will get it to Tecumseh to have a tube put in it. This tractor is my legs ya know. I have missed it.

January 6th why me? Squirt has not eaten in 2 days, he must be near death. He has not refused food since he was 5 months old. Grabbed the phone book, finally find a vet that would come out. He checks Squirt all over, checks his stalls, his food, everything checked out ok. Get this his alfalfa cubes had frozen and he couldn't bite them with his goofy mouth of his. He was so mad at his mommy he wouldn't even look at me. He just stood there with his head in the corner. God he was mad mad as heck at me. So the great doberman mommy is dummer than a box of rocks when it comes to horses. I paid the vet bill, and while I have my morning coffee I get to crush the alfalfa cubes so the little man can eat.

More to come...

January 12th Friday did 5 loads of dog laundry, life is good.
Saturday NO WATER of course weekend. Brian came out to do Squirts feet, checks circuit breakers, pressure tank, no water. Jackae and Celeste start hauling in water from their places. Thank god for all them empty Tradewinds sweet tea I drank. I have tons of those bottles, came in handy. So I wait till Sunday to call a well guy. Mr. Boss spent all day Monday getting a pump. It was only frozen, seems the cement job Celeste and I did last summer had a few cracks or unleveled enough to let the cold wind in and froze the pump. I'll take "mason" of my resume. Monday evening we have water.

January 12th went out to feed Squirt. His water pail was frozen. Checked cord, no electricity blew a circuit breaker. I fixed this all on my own!

Last Monday get a Facebook message 5 month old female at Quincy humane. Asked us if we will take it,H__l yes, a puppy of course we will take her. So I push stuff around to make room for the puppy. At noon Jackae calls the shelter is sending her somewhere else.
So you want to do rescue? Dobe rescue in Michigan is no longer necessary. That's the 3rd or 4th doberman that has gone somewhere else.
To end this ltitle note to all, let me state "never ask what's next " a lesson well learned from our Heather.
