This morning we lost our sweet Brownie to a combination of old age and
pneumonia. He spent a week fighting it without progress. This morning he laid his head in my lap, sighed deeply and was gone. He will be missed terribly by our family. Run free, sweet boy, until we meet again.

I don't care what the age, if it is a sudden passing or a long battle of a

Heather and Madison; You two gave the Zipper the only life he had. You were his family and his love. From porcupine quills to wetting on the floor, you put up with a lot. He really loved you both. Thanks for giving him the privilege of passing at home. He was so scared of those vets. May he run pain free and in his right mind. Thank you both. See ya soon Brownie.

I'm so very sorry for your loss . Pam is right, there have been too many lately. Your Brownie Zipper was so lucky to have found his perfect forever family with you guys.

He was among my first Dobes. I had Strawberry, then Brownie and Beefy.

Thank you everyone, for the thoughts. We are adjusting to the loss, although I filled his bowl up last night and it took me a few minutes to figure out that I had an extra.

And then Arda talked me into Lily, who had cancer and would "only be around a month or so" A year later we lost her to cardio. She was a heck of a dog.

I remember Lilly too! What a great bunch you had there. I bet all three of them, Brownie, Strawberry, and Lilly are looking down and laughing at this "younger" group you've got now. Great memories:)

So sorry to read your post. It never is easy to say goodbye. Brownie will be watching over you and saying thank you
for all you did to make him a great dog. I don't know how many you have now, but you always took on alot of furkids
weather you wanted them or not. LOL you always took on the ones that people brought back and loved them no matter what.
He will be greatly missed by all.Thanks for giving him the Best home he could ever want.
