Hi All!!
Looking for your valuable input, 2 part inquiry:

Our current dobe Kiah will be 10 in December and was raised with another dog, but she has been the only dog in the house for the last 4 years. We brought home a 10 week old male last week. We introduced them quietly and she was initially quite scared of him and his quick, bouncy movements, was avoiding eye contact and would move to another area away from him when she felt he was too close. She has since stopped these behaviors and has even allowed him to lay on a blanket with her for a few minutes.
When we allowed them short/supervised play time outside she would play bow a few times and then go about her business but she was "foaming" at the mouth and drooling. She is now also suffering diarreah for the last 4 days and the last 2 days would not eat her food, but did eat some rice and boiled turkey yesterday afternoon.
I'm giving her immodium, pepto and probiotics and did not feed her dinner or breakfast this morning (she was not looking for food either). Any suggestions on how to resolve the diarreah? I'm contimplating taking her to the vet today or tomorrow for a shot (she is prone to stomach issues now and again and has received an injection in the past to stop the diarreah).

New puppy takes crying/whining in his crate to a whole new level! I have had several puppies over the years and I know that crying is to be expected, but he goes full blown nuts! Screaming/frantic/howling/deep growling etc. To date we have tried ignoring him, giving a kong stuffed with treats and other toys, put one of my old shirts with my scent in there, radio on, hidden treats in the crate to find (which he does not eat), feed and water in the crate and when it's time for him to come out of the crate I do not let him out until he quiets and sits down.
I think this separation anxiety and crying/screaming may be part of what is upsetting our older dog! We are walking nightly with them together to help establish the pack also.
There is probably more, but I'm so tired from being up every hour to let her outside because of her upset stomach that I can't think straight! lol
What do you suggest we try??? Thanks as always!!! Everybody loves pics...so here are KC and Kiah
