Well, Brinks will remain SCD's Brinks Home Security, CGC for now. He did a super job with all the testing stations and even with the "bad guy"...until he raised a stick above his head and yelled at poor Brinks  . He stood his ground for second, then backed up. Everyone he met was so nice and friendly until that guy!!! Oh well, he's young and needs to gain some confidence and maturity and we'll try again next year. It was great experience for him though, and man were there some gorgeous dobes there.

Poor Brinks. He probably didn't know why someone was yelling at him. I'm sure he'll get his WAE next year.

Aww, poor Brinks, didn't like getting yelled at, don't blame him, Nixx didn't pass that part either, but it is a great experience for them, thanks for the update. You had a pretty handsome Dobe too.

I think our club..DPC of Michigan will try to do a WAE in 2012. We are required to do one every two years...so, start yelling at him and threating him with a stick for a year......HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.....just kidding. IMO..if someone was to come into your home and do that...he would react the way you want and that is all that matters.

As smart as he is...you need to do Obedience classes (a serious one) and get a CD and RN on the end of his name

Give that boy a hug from Auntie Kimmi for doing his best today.

He does his job around here just fine. He's a clothing model, baby doll, princess, and most importantly, a good listener for our young readers....and he doesn't judge if things are pronounced wrong  . Kimmi, I think you should direct me to a recommended trainer/facility so we can do that. And definately keep me posted if your club does a WAE....it was fun.

 Poor Brinks, he'll get it. He just didn't want that guy yelling
at him, he just didn't know why. Probably thought "Geez Mom
what's he yelling at me for"? Hugs to you Brinks.............

Cocoa did the same thing the first time....she took a step back first, so that counted against her, even though she did go after him after. Brinks will get it the second time around! Good job Brinks!
The embedded collars in his neck when we got him and he goes back and extends the gentle paw to the human race. One heck of a dog.

Hey Kimmi,
I've been thinking about how I can help Brinks prepare for the WAE again. I need to build his confidence so when the bad guy comes at him with a raised stick, he won't expect me to take care of it :He He: . How would you practice this? Does your group ever get together to practice? Any advice would be appreciated.
