Our brave boy Nevada lost his fight with cardiomyopathy this a.m.. He was having seizure like activity, i rushed him to my clinic where he started again, but it wasnt a seizure, he stopped breathing. I let him go, there was no use in trying to bring him back, his heart was just gone. We got him as a 7 week old puppy and he took to my husband as his bud right away. Since then they were inseperable. If Bill went outside, so did Nevada. he had to sit IN dads lap every time they sat. My husband is so upset, ive never seen him so heartbroken, its just killing me.
Nevada, run free with a new heart!

Oh my Gawd, Sharen. How much pain can you endure. I am so sorry for your lose. Give my sympathies to Bill. This is killing me. So many just lately. And I know I'm facing the same in the end. My heart aches for all of you.

So sorry to hear about Nevada. I lost my 10 year old Ruby to the same thing 9.14.06. No signs of any problems until 3 weeks b/4 she went. They are such strong dogs. The vet told me she had 3-6 months...little did we know the clock had already starting ticking.

I am so sorry for your loss. I pray your pain can be replaced with happy and loving memories of your baby. Mary

Sharen and Bill -

I'm so distraught to hear about Nevada. Cardiomyopathy is such a devastating disease. Nevada filled your hearts with joy and was such a wonderful companion. I know your heart is breaking, but he's free of pain and at the Bridge with those that came before. My heart goes out to you both. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Sharen & Bill,

I wish I had some magic words that would remove your hurt from loosing Nevada. Having experienced this myself, I know there isn’t any. I hope you can take some comfort in how many of us here are thinking of you, your family and Nevada. It is just plain sad that we have to loose our four legged friends to this lousy disease.

Sincerely sorry,

Eric D
