Yes, he's doing great! Tuesday evening he was pretty whiney and restless, but he always is after having any kind of anesthesia. He was pretty much back to himself by the next day. The vet took off two lesions, the one we knew about, and another very small one we hadn't noticed that was on the top lid, closer to the nose side, and in the part with hair. So both samples went to the lab, and it's supposed to be 7 to 10 days before I will know the results.
He has to get an ointment put in his eye three times a day. It's similar to Neosporin, in a little tube and kind of that same consistency. Any helpful hints on how to get the stuff in his eye easily? I was putting an ointment in a couple weeks ago, before his surgery, and I was opening the eye wide, with Rick's help, kind of pulling the lower lid out, and aiming the stuff toward the trough between the eye and the lower lid. But now that he has sutures in his eyelid, I do not want to pull too forcefully on it, and the stuff usually just ends up coating his eyelashes. There must be an easier way.

When Moki had the eye stitches I still pulled the lid very gentle and put the ointment in it even though it got on the lashes.
He did fine. I'm sure Logan will be fine. Good luck on the healing.

We got a call from the vet yesterday. She said the larger of the two nodules she removed, the one that was bleeding off and on, was cancer but it was benign. I'm confused by what that means, as I thought benign meant non-cancerous. I wasn't home at the time and my husband took the call, and he doesn't ask enough questions.
Anyway, the vet assured him that this was good news and we don't have to do anything further except be careful about noting any new lesions. The second, smaller lesion was completely innocent. He goes in to get his stitches out next week, so I plan to get a lot more information at that time. But I am relieved for now.

So an addendum to the update above. Logan had his sutures removed today. The larger lesion was a dermal hemangioma, which I am told is benign (as opposed to a hemangiosarcoma), and the surgical excision was considered curative, although he may be prone to developing others, so we will have to be on the lookout for unusual growths. The second lesion was consistent with epithelial hyperplasia and hyperkeratosis and was considered very innocent. He's doing great. He was so good all this time he had his stitches in. He never even tried to scratch or rub his eyelid.

Glad to hear everything went successful for Logan, a big sigh of relief on the outcome.
