Thanks for the update on Storm. I remember when you came and adopted Storm.
Happy to hear he is doing good. Love to see pictures of him now.I know Arda would love to see a picture of him also.
He probably doesn't chase after the butterfly's any more it was so much fun to watch him. We could watch him for hours doing that.

Had to go back & read his new beginning. Wow, he's gorgeous--would love to see current pictures of him! Certainly understand why he likes that southern climate.

It's amazing how gentle and tolerent he is.... He's done a great job showing her how to act great dobie dad. I can't wait to see how he does when she has pups this winter

Well it seems that age is starting to catch up with Storm.... His back legs don't always do what he wants them to do, and he seems to be losing weight. He has good days and bad days, it still seems like the good ones out number the bad. I just dread the day that I will have to make a decision for him. Unfourtantley that day seems to be closer than farther.

I'm so sorry to read this. I, too, have dreaded having to make that decision but it's the price we all pay, eventually, for sharing our lives with our Dobes. Just remember that you are giving him a great life & that's more than a lot of dogs get. Praying that he will get stronger & that you will have many more years together but, if not, that you will know when the time is right to let him go & that you'll be at peace with your decision.

Of course, I post this yesterday after he's had about 3 bad days in a row. Then this morning he's playing with the two 12 week old German Shepherd puppies we have left from our liter all morning. Kinda crazy he must of known I was talking about him, and set out to prove me wrong. haha

I hope that Storm continues to have more good days than bad and that he will be with you for a good while yet. It's never enough time, though, and it is so difficult to watch them get old. Fortunately for Storm, it sounds like he's got a lot of love and support from both his human and canine family!

So after a lot of going back and forth we have come to the decision that it was best for Storm to go ahead and put him down. He crossed the rainbow bridge on Saturday the 7th of May. He went very peacefully.
