Thanks for the paper, JackAE!  As you could tell I need it.  And the children gave JackAE the show of her life.  Glad she didn't stop by till after Kari slapped the place in shape.  I can't believe Kari survived today.

 

The blue boy from Cheboygan made it down.  I will get some starter pictures over to Joaquin this week.  He's 18 months old.  Coat pretty well shot but we can fix that.

Thank you Arda!! I know we are so full, but the picture just killed me. I'm just praying like crazy that he is HW-. You guys, this is how this little blue boy was living.

There are puppies out there somewhere.  I guess there is 2 females and a litter of puppies.  The woman who had him was using him for stud and there is a litter of pups on the ground.  She was feeding day old bread and buns and a little dog food to them.  I sure don't need another dog down here but he sure needs us.

How sad....I don't know how someone could do that to any animal..THANK YOU Arda for saving him...

 

 

OH ByTheWay Kari the house looked great....and you are welcome Arda.

 

Boy what a greeting I got when I arrived....a little black dobie girl that didn't even know me had to jump up on me and give me kisses on my face....Jade had to give my leg a hug...Diamond had to get her ears rubbed..Snow had to get her back massaged...And that puppy is just to die for...she is so cute....and Faye (who is not fat anymore) loves that puppy, she is such a good role model for that puppy...And of course I got that growl from Hunden...she is so lovely....LOL....Then Chaos came trotting out of the bedroom to give me kisses then he lays down in the middle of it all....

 

I sure do miss coming out every weekend to help....

Not half as much as we miss you.  I made it to the vets with Toby.  You'll see a new dog in a couple of weeks.  Surgery tomorrow.  No more puppies nor flies eating the end of his tail.

Daisy had her 1st injection of immedicide for heart worm.  It is a severe case so we are trying to be extra careful with her.  She got a hamburger on the way home.

Lilly (Bedlum) is having her ears repaired.  I really want to wait as long as possible to have her spayed for her growth and her hormones.

Hey...that just reminded me of a question I had for you Arda.  What age to you recommend neutering?

Woow.............that's a hard one.  Really.  I'm in rescue and I can't let a dog leave my hands that isn't altered.  8 weeks when we have then that young.  But if it's your dog.......than you should wait until it is fully developed.  The females don't usually have the leaking problem.  And the males develop in proper proportions.  It's really to hard to know one thing and learn another.  We have to alter as soon as we have them because it's too hard to trust the adopters.  I'm caught between the rock and the hard spot.  Chaos was done at 8 weeks and I wouldn't have him any other way.  We waited on Ominous and it really shows.  It was a good lesson to everyone that took notice.

Kiah was spayed at 9 months and has leaked everyday of her life!  I don't know if I would ever spay another female, I think I could handle on leash potty breaks twice a year instead of the puddles she leaves behind.  We've tried everything...nothing works long term.

 

I was thinking of holding off with KC until about 18 months, depending on how his personality/behavior is going.

yep...worked when she was younger.  Occasionally it will work now for a little while, but then it stops.  She has prescription meds but they only last short term.  I try to rotate everything so we stay on top of it.

Hey I made it.  All dogs out and in and fed.  WOHOO!  Wonder Woman!  Dennis peed his crate.  Does that mean he doesn't love me anymore?  Or does it mean, I'm going to put 2 diapers on him?

They are all outside right now.  Aren't I lucky!  Maybe I can teach them all to graze on creek bank greens.  So far, so good.  Stop worrying about them and get yourself all prettied up for tomorrow.  God I pray for good weather, sober Joaquin, no nude party bashers, and no Hatfield and McCoys excitement.  Make this the greatest day of your lives.
