Rosa,
I too use the invisible fencing system for my 2 dobergirls and am very happy with it. We have about 2 acres and when we built our home, our neighbors and we decided to not put up tangible fences, so this was our only option. We have never had a problem containing our dogs, not even an italian greyhound. The way I see it, is I'd rather see them get a few shocks than get hit by a car. I use the word "shock", but in reality, it's like licking a battery head...uncomfortable. Train her to back into the yard with the chirping sound of the collar and she'll catch on real fast. The only problem I see with E-fences is that anything can come into your yard, including animals, meter readers, and children, so they can never be left unattended. But with your fence, you won't have that problem. Good luck and thanks for the pics of the dogs :D
Karen
We give dogs the time we can spare, the space we can spare, and the love we can spare. And, in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made.

Well, it's been a while since I posted...so just wanted to post some new pics & to give an update on Cady. Cady is like a little sister to Cassie now. It's like they've been together forever. I'm so thankful they love each other and love to play SOOOO much together!!! Cady continues to challenge us with her intelligence...the E-Fence was just another puzzle for her. She figured out she could go under the deck to get around it. Once I fixed that, she figured out she could stand on the deck and jump high enough in the air to avoid the shock. It's like a continual game of chess with her. Right now...she's winning!!! As long as I am around to IMMEDIATELY correct her, she's OK. She really has grown quite a bit. The vet doesn't think she'll grow much more, but she's already over 2 inches taller than 3-year old Cassie. Here are a few recent pics....(including one in our early snow storm!).

I remember Kevin posting about how smart she was. It appears he was right on the money. Thanks, Rosa, for the update. She certainly is a doll. She and Cassie look like they really enjoy each other.

The embedded collars in his neck when we got him and he goes back and extends the gentle paw to the human race. One heck of a dog.

Some days they are "trouble" with a capitol T  , but you can't help but love'em when they are so darn loyal, beautiful and forgiving themselves. See what I mean...drinking from the birdbath, tearing stuffing out of toy animal after tug-of-war with Cassie, kicking up grass as they get some GOOD exercise!

I just wanted to put up a new pic of Cady. This girl can LOUNGE when she wants to! Notice the face pushed into the pillow and dangling leg!

BTW, she's doing great. She's still getting a lot of exercise playing "tag" with Cassie! A tired dog is a happy dog! LOL

She looks wonderful! Much larger than her picture featured in the cookbook :D If she can lounge like that, you know she's happy. Keep the pictures coming!
