Wow, I'm special. I'm rich. I'm so happy.

John and Lori were down. And John built me a new set of steps to the front door. They, like everything else here were shot. John did a great job and I am so happy. As if this wasn't enough, he tightened up the hinges on the front door so I don't have to beat the door to death to close it. Then as if he had nothing else to do.............he fixed the hole in the hallway. In the early 80's we put an addition on that side of the house. Well, there was a thin strip of 1/2 inch thick plywood across the hall where the addition met the old part of the house. Back in the early 2000's I was moving a walnut grandfather clock out of the house and stepped back onto that plywood strip and fell through, breaking the clock all to pieces. I was sick. It was a mess. I covered the hole with a mat and went on with the hole in the floor. Well it is fixed. Hooray! I have been planing a new floor from the front room to the kitchen for 13 years. Maybe I will see it yet. One step at a time.
The electric fence is back in operation. The second dead tree is burnt. And I had my first lesson in siding with vinyl siding. John and Lori were busy.

Now I have to tell you about this collar that John and Lori made. Dozer is a licker who was destroying his leg. We have done everything like we have done for many other lickers. Nothing worked. Well the collar arrived with the Bumps this week end and here are the pictures of Dozer in his new, no licky collar. If this works, it will save a number of dogs,

What a relief having those repairs done!
Such a kind thing to do.
Interesting design on the no lick collar. Please let me know if it works.

The trees I took down were 35 -40 year old Spruce and Pines. They have been dying for a few years and needed to come down. I remember planting each and every one of them. I love my trees. And the birds that dress them.

How does Dozer like his new collar?

He doesn't seem to mind it too much. Although he has gotten it off once.

Looks like everyone has been very busy at the Swamp.Sorry to hear you had to cut down your trees that I know you loved so much.
For all of you who didn't know how much Arda loved her trees, you weren't even aloud to cut off a branch from her trees if there was any green on them.
Even if the branch slapped you in the face, you didn't cut it off.LOL Arda loves her trees.
