Are there any options for low-cost 24-hour holter monitoring?

Paisley's "sister" Sweetie just went in for a heart check a few weeks ago that showed 1 VPC within a 90 second ECG (which was taken while she was at rest). I'm curious to know how many other VPCs she is having throughout the day (when she is more active).

My dog's cardiologist is Dr. Brown with Veterinary Cardiology Consultants.  They have offices in Novi, Ann Arbor, and Rochester.  I've not had the Holter done, just a couple of echocardiograms over the last few years, but a friend of mine recently got the Holter kit from them where you take it home for 24 hours, and I want to say she paid around $250.

I can't remember what we paid at Dr Karen's.  I can't even remember who it was for.  I guess in our case, could I afford to do that and then something to make that better and then something more to tell if it worked or not.  I love my dogs as much as the next person BUT I'm sorry to say we can't afford all the bells and whistles that are out there today.  Dog medicine in most cases has become unaffordable to most pet owners.  Most of you know what kind of expenses we have dealt with over the last couple of years.  We just can't afford all of it anymore.

I know you can rent one from NC State University. They mail it, you mail it and the tape back and they do the reading for you.

Yes, our chapter club can rent them as long as you are a DPCA member.
