Another fundraiser my 4H kids utilize every year is a pop can drive. They each collect cans/bottles from their homes, but also ask businesses to donate empties as well. You'd be surprised how many businesses will donate their empties just so they don't have to take them back themselves. And every time they have an event (horse show, yard sale etc) they put out a barrel and collect cans/bottles at those events. Some of our kids are so gung ho that they even pick up empties along the roads (with parents supervision of course).

If there are any youth involved w/SCD, this is a fun and easy way to pick up a few dollars here and there.
