Essex is conformation only.

Sarnia Kennel Club
June 30, july 1,2 & 3rd
Mooretown between Sarnia & Sombra
has obedience.
We love this show site, so near water, can look
& see the st clair river from some of the rings.
Good place to camp, has indoor pool ect.
Obedience is indoors, they have had agility
trials there too on the grounds.
We take the car ferry from marine city over to
Sombra & drive up to mooretown along river front..

TDI and CGC offered June 17 in Traverse City.
CGC $10
TDI $15
Together $20

www.gtkc.org

This is also an all breed show with Rally and Obedi. ((including pre-novice!)

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Do they have the Dock Dog thing there?
I am not sure of the proper name for it
But the dogs run off a large dock, and they measure to see who has the longest jump into a pool.

I really would like to take Suzz to one of these.( maybe, a novice entry ) Took awhile to teach her but she loves to do this and is pretty good, but I have no way of measuring her jump :D ... I have never seen a Dobe at one... mostly, Labs, & Spaniel types, & Setters.

I remember reading the Traverse City Paper about them having one up there last year.. It was over by the time I read it. :D a Lab won, I can't remeber how far the winning jump was though. :w00t:

Thanks, Stef!

We must start practicing... She's been in the water to her chest, but it's still pretty cold yet. Brrr.

I don't know how she would do off a different dock.. but she will go off the pontoon, too. So, I guess the only way to find out is "Just Do It"

all we can do is make fools of ourselves.(which is a normal day over here) :w00t:

I will have to see if there are any more around Michigan. I think the small town competions is were we should start?

Cath
Thanks Again!

I almost forgot.. she has to have her life jacket on if she has not jumped there before, (like off the pontoon, in different areas of the lake) Off our dock she is fine, but knows the area.

I wonder if there is a rule against that? Hahaha

see, she did not know how to swim when we got her and the life jacket became a security for her.

Alittle Brag from the Show today...
Our red Guy "Hunter" won Winners Dog at the
flint show for 1 pt giving him 9 pts now... His mom
Millie who is 9 yrs old got her 2nd leg ( qualifyiing score)
in Rally obedience with her owner Val today too... It was a
hard course & judge was tough on having a tight leash ect
so the score was only 74 out of 100 but as I said to her, its
still qualifying! ...

I've got the bug ... any shows coming up in late summer/fall?

I'm entering London in October ... it's also the DPCC National Specialty. I'm hoping for something before then though...
