I want to give a shout out to my dear hubby. He has been laid off and has used this time to do odd jobs to get money for SCD. He has raised 350.00 so far. We are meeting Arda for supper later and I am bursting with pride that my hubby has been so sensitive to the needs of the Dobes. You go Shawn!!! You are my hero.

I even brushed my teeth and put clean clothes on. But I can't believe that he has done so much for the kids. Maybe we will get a driveway and gravel. Thanks so much to you two and Vonda. The SwampHi,

Dogs don't know about beginnings, and they don't speculate on matters that occurred before their time.
Dogs also don't know-or at least don't accept-the concept of death.
With no concept of beginnings or endings, dogs probably don't know that for people, having a dog as a life companion provides a streak of light between two eternities of darkness

What in the world are you doing coming in the back door? I don't know if I have ever seen you come in the back door. I am usually with you. How did you get to the store without me? How did you get out of the house unnoticed? What is going on here????? Are we off our schedule????? AAAAAAAAAaaaeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!??????

I stopped at the post office on my way to dinner.....Thank you Steve and Rosey Acciaioli for the $10. Rebekah Brown, my beautiful daughter, sent the kids $750. The Doberman Pinscher Club of Michigan sent us $135. And Shawn Hall, Lorie's Hubby, gave the kids $350. Looks like we might be able to get the gravel fund up and running. Let's drop it all in the checking account til the weather allows some kennel run and driveway work. Must be the good Lord is watching out for the kids. Thank you every one. Thank you so much. Isnt it great, how many people come up with ways to make some
money for the kids???
Saving Change, selling coupon books, odd jobs, raffles, candybar sales,
collars, beds, coats, collecting cans/bottles for returns, EBay auctions ect...
The Mothers day Flower sale will be a new one, Arda will have to post on
the dates/place ect...
Just working together & doing little things for the LOVE OF THE BREED!

Hey, I was trying to think of some kind of fundraising I can do over here in Windsor. Since the rescue is in the states, I'm kind of getting stumped, because people won't be donating to a "Canadian Cause", and might be likely to donate to a rescue over here, which ISN'T a bad thing, just would love to be able to bring over some funds to SCD.
Ideas, anyone???

One of the quick/easy things we have done is buy some reg size
candy bars & packs of gum on sale & sell to friends ect. We did it at
Cobo hall shows & ran out of candy early on sunday, didnt know it
would go so well.
Our Min pin club does a Basket of cheer raffle w/ bottle wine/2 glasses/
cheese/crackers, gourmet cookies ect as well as a funny or romantic
book/music tape. They have done pretty good with that....
Im sure you can come up with some great ideas on your own...
