Our sweet Annie was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. She was in pain and there was only one choice- to stop it. To make her whole and healthy again, Arda had to let her go.

Annie- I remember the first time I met you. Just a scared little bag of bones. So afraid to even move. But that's not how I remember you. I remember who you became. A wiggle butt lining up for her share of the love or the treats. A girl who knew love and gave it eagerly in return. Our Annie Bananie. Sweet, silly, gentle, loving, beautiful, joyful. That is the Annie waiting at the bridge. Now you join a different pack with so many who have gone before. Take with you the remembrance that you are loved, you are wanted, you are missed, you are mourned. Run free Annie....

This just breaks my heart I was there when Annie first came in, such a sweet loving girl.
Sorry for your loss of sweet Annie. She wil be missed just as they all are.

I'm choking up a bit here team. But you all deserve an explanation and I will try to give you one.
About 3 weeks ago she started to hit and miss on eating. She has always been a little picky. We just switch food for a few days and she has been fine. But not this time. It came down to 4 different foods in 4 different bowls in her crate. I think she ate about 2 bowls in 3 weeks. I watched the weight roll off of her. But no other signs of something wrong. Then on a Sat she was favoring her back left leg a bit. Sunday it was worse but I could find no puncture wound. Even went out and checked the bridges for nails that might be coming up. Nothing. Monday was a holiday. So I watched her and the favoring of that leg was worse. Tuesday was a war zone here and I could not get loose from here so I ran her in to Dr Karen on Wed.. Now she isn't walking on the leg. She was sedated and several xrays were taken. Poof.......there it was. The femoral head and the socket of the hip were a total blur of cancer. This wasn't even an option of amputation. It was too extensive. She had slipped to 65# from the hearty almost 80. And I made that decision that I all too often have to make. Quality of life over our selfish needs. She is at peace. She was a great Rottermann. Now she can run on all four and fly a bit if she chooses. I miss her very much.

Arda I'm so sorry. I'm crying for you all. These hard choices are the right choices but they still tear at your heart and soul. I'm so glad you found SCD Annie, so you could know the love and care you should have had your whole life. I will get to meet you when I go to meet my own pups. Linda

I chose Annie to sponcer because of her name and because I knew she was Arda's right hand girl.
I'm sad to read of her passing, but you did the right thing. No one wants their best friend to suffer.
Her life was a blessing.

So sorry for the loss of your sweet Annie Bananie,she was blessed to have known the luxury of love thru you Arda & Staff.
It was a pleasure to meet her a time or two when we visited.

Annie is one of the greats, couldn't of had a bigger heart, a cherish lady around the swamp.
